Kathleen Taylor is running for re-election in the 19th Legislative District which is comprised of parts of the Towns of Greece and Parma.
Since taking office in January of 2013, Kathleen has fought to control spending at the county level despite the challenges of state-mandates driving up county costs. She continues to serve taxpayers by supporting programs which create and retain local jobs.
Prior to her time in the County Legislature, Kathleen Taylor served as the Elected Receiver of Taxes in the Town of Greece. In this position, her main responsibility was the collection of taxes for the Town, County, and School Districts, Fire Districts and Special Districts. She was also responsible for the distribution of these funds to the appropriate entities. Throughout her tenure in office, she has had the opportunity to meet and interact with many residents and business professionals in Greece.
Kathleen is a graduate of SUNY Fredonia where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in History. After college, Kathleen became the Supervisor in Bank Operations and Customer Service for Security Trust Co, a position that she held until she was elected Receiver of Taxes in Greece.
She is a past award recipient of the Greece Community Volunteer of the Year, and she was a past Director for the YMCA Northwest Branch Board and the Greece Historical Society Board.
Kathleen is a lifelong resident of Greece; she currently resides at 91 Flower Dale Drive.
